# The Weekend Lineup: April 10-12

By Amelia Early, the Wisconsin Northwoods editor · Updated April 10, 2026
Fri

Friday

Fri time TBA

The annual marine show at Erv's is one of the first signs that boat season is coming to the Northwoods. New models, used deals, and the kind of boat talk that makes you forget it is still barely 50 degrees outside. If you have been thinking about upgrading for the summer, this is the weekend to do your homework.

Fri 3:30 PM CDT
Forest County, Crandon

Friday fish fry in Crandon. The American Legion does it right -- fresh-battered walleye or cod, coleslaw, and a cold beer. This is a Northwoods Friday tradition and one of the best values in the region. Get there early because they fry until they run out.

Fri 6:00 PM CDT
The Hilgermann Center, Rhinelander

A guided sound healing session for the whole family at the Hilgermann Center in Rhinelander. Crystal bowls, guided meditation, and a deeply relaxing way to start your weekend. The Hilgermann has been quietly building one of the most interesting wellness programming calendars in the region.

Fri 4:00 PM CDT

Behind-the-scenes tour of Northern Waters Distillery in Minocqua followed by a guided tasting. Their gin and vodka are both excellent, and you get to see the full production process. A great Friday afternoon stop before dinner.

Fri 4:00 PM CDT

Turn old book pages into poetry by blacking out everything except the words you want to keep. It is creative, meditative, and surprisingly addictive. Free at the Rhinelander library -- bring the kids or come solo.

Sat

Saturday

Sat 8:00 AM CDT

One of the most popular spring events in Minocqua. The Campanile Center hosts a morning dance for dads and daughters with music, snacks, and photo ops. These tickets go fast every year -- if you have not grabbed yours yet, check availability now. Rain or shine, this one is indoors.

Sat 9:00 AM CDT
Tomahawk School Complex, Tomahawk

The annual home show in Tomahawk brings together local contractors, outdoor recreation vendors, health exhibitors, and travel companies under one roof. A solid Saturday morning stop for anyone planning summer projects, a new dock, or a fishing trip. Free admission.

Sat 9:00 AM CDT
Phelps School, Phelps

Maple season is wrapping up and Phelps celebrates with pancakes, fresh syrup tasting, and maple-everything vendors. This is a community tradition in Vilas County and the kind of small-town fest that makes the Northwoods special. Parking at the school.

Sat 1:00 PM CDT

"Finding Your Light" -- the Lakeland Hawks spring show features local skaters of all ages performing choreographed routines. A great family afternoon event, especially if the weather outside is turning. The rink is a pleasant 40 degrees no matter what is happening outdoors.

Sat 1:00 PM CDT
Treehaven, Tomahawk

Guided hike through the spring ephemeral wildflowers at Treehaven near Tomahawk. These flowers bloom for just a few weeks between snowmelt and tree leaf-out -- trillium, hepatica, bloodroot. A naturalist leads the walk. Get this one in Saturday before the rain moves in.

Sat 9:00 AM CDT

Local artisans and crafters at Rondele Ranch in Rhinelander. Woodwork, pottery, textiles, and handmade goods from across the region. A good morning browse before the afternoon storms.

Sun

Sunday

Sun 10:00 AM CDT
Pine Lake Town Hall, Rhinelander

The warehouse sale continues Sunday with deals on clothing, home goods, and assorted finds. A solid rainy-day activity if the storms keep up. Rhinelander has enough coffee shops and restaurants nearby to make a full morning of it.

Sun 1:00 PM CDT
The Hilgermann Center, Rhinelander

A gathering for Northwoods filmmakers, videographers, and anyone interested in the craft. Share projects, talk gear, and connect with creative people in the region. The Hilgermann Center continues to be the cultural hub of Rhinelander.

That's the weekend.
