Hand-Building with clay is a fun way to create beautiful pottery. This class is tailored to beginners who want to 'get a taste' of pottery and see if they want to invest in learning a larger variety of hand-building skills.
You don't need any prior artistic abilities and don't need to bring anything to class. The instructor will guide you through the first steps of making hand-built potter: from rolling a slab, decorate with textures, create a vase, cup, or bowl, and safely cleaning up your work area.
Each student will be provided with 3 pounds of clay a hand-built piece. The instructor will finish the piece for you, glaze it, and fire it. Two to three weeks after class, you can pick up your pot.
