Florida Rosenwald Schools & Mount Dora

Florida once boasted 126 Rosenwald Schools – crucial, community-built institutions constructed between 1917 and 1932 to educate Black children in the segregated South, with only about 10% surviving today. Stetson University Historian Sidney Johnston will explore the Rosenwald Schools movement in both Florida and Mount Dora. No registration required.
