Delete Your Data
You can remove your data from The Lineup at any time. Most of what the app keeps lives on your own device — there's no account to delete. The steps below cover every kind of data we hold, depending on how you've used the app and website.
The mobile app (saves & preferences)
The The Lineup app works without a login. Your saved items, selected areas, and interests are stored on your device only — they are not held on our servers. To remove them:
- Clear your saved items in the app: open Settings and clear your saves and preferences.
- Or delete the app: removing The Lineup from your device deletes all of this on-device data automatically.
If you enabled push notifications, deleting the app or turning notifications off also removes the push token we use to reach your device. To request that we delete a stored push token directly, email us at the address below.
Newsletter, listing claims & contact data
Some information you give us directly is held on our servers — for example, your email address if you subscribed to the Weekend Lineup, details from a business listing claim, or any message you sent us. To delete this:
- Newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us to be removed entirely.
- Everything else: email [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request." Tell us which email address or business listing to remove.
What happens after you ask
We honor deletion and erasure requests, including the GDPR right to erasure and the CCPA right to delete. Once we confirm your request, we permanently remove your personal information within 30 days. Content you submitted that's part of the public record (such as a published event) may be retained in anonymized form so it no longer identifies you.
