The name says it -- Dirty Fridays starts early at 2 PM on Pensacola Beach and runs into the night with a second set at 8. Cover runs $5-20 depending on the night. It's a beach bar show, which means the vibe is exactly what you'd expect from a Friday afternoon on the water.

Downtown Fairhope merchants open late the first Friday of every month and put the local art community front and center. Free admission, runs 6-8 PM, and it's a good reason to walk the downtown blocks and grab dinner while you're at it.

Justin Colvard plays the outdoor green space stage at Portside down at The Wharf in Orange Beach. Grab a drink, find a spot in the grass, and let the Friday evening sort itself out. Easy entry point to the weekend if you're already on that side of the coast.

Electric Blue Yonder bills themselves as "space folk explorers," which is a description that either hooks you immediately or doesn't. $20 at the Fairhope Brewing taproom, same 6 PM start as the Art Walk -- the two are close enough to build a Fairhope Friday evening around both.

Seville Quarter's Friday Happy Hour runs in the End O' the Alley Courtyard with live music starting at 5 PM, Executive Chef Jason Duckworth cooking outdoors, and drink specials that run all day. Happy hour technically kicks off at 11 AM on weekdays, but Friday night is when the energy shifts. Good spot to rally the crew after work.

The Flora-Bama goes full hippie throwback for Sandstock -- wear your favorite festival attire and expect an all-day run of festivities. The venue doesn't publish a hard start time, but plan for things to get going late morning. Saturday afternoon weather looks solid with only a 14% storm chance and a high of 88, so this should be about as clean a Flora-Bama all-day as you'll get in August.

Saturday's deck tour hours expand to 11 AM-5 PM, and the paid sunset party aboard runs 7-9 PM for $250. If you didn't make it Friday morning, Saturday is the better window -- more time on the ship and you can pair it with something downtown in the afternoon.

Saturday is the final night of the three-night rodeo run in Robertsdale. Same setup -- gates at 5, Kid's Corral at 5:30, rodeo action at 7:30. Covered arena means the slight Saturday evening storm chance is irrelevant. Last shot to catch it this year.

Ninety-minute boat tours into the Mobile-Tensaw Delta -- the stretch of river habitat they call the "American Amazon." Cruises depart from Bartram Landing and get you into a genuinely wild corner of the coast that most people drive right past on I-10. Good Saturday option if you want something that isn't a bar or a beach.

Three-course dinner theatre murder mystery at the Saenger, Hollywood theme, single 7 PM showtime Saturday night. Tickets through Ticketmaster. It's a full evening -- dinner plus show -- so plan to be there a while. Good date night option if you want something with a little more structure than a bar crawl.

Outdoor makers market in Fairhope, free admission, starting at 10 AM. Get there before the 30% storm chance that builds through Sunday afternoon. Vendor and food purchases are on you, but walking the market costs nothing.

Jurassic Park on the big screen at the Saenger -- the 1993 Spielberg original with the John Williams score and the practical effects that still hold up 30-plus years later. A Sunday afternoon movie at a historic theatre is a good call if the storm window closes in, and Sunday's forecast gives a real shot at afternoon showers.
