Bearskin Trailhead Park

Northern trailhead of the 21.5-mile Bearskin State Trail, located on the shore of Minocqua Lake in downtown Minocqua. The packed granite trail crosses a 375-foot trestle bridge with views of the lake before heading south to Tomahawk.

Big Eau Pleine County Park

A 1,450-acre county park on a peninsula in the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir with 106 campsites across two campgrounds, twelve miles of hiking and biking trails, three boat landings, disc golf, and horseback riding.

Black River Harbor

National Forest recreation area on Lake Superior known for spectacular waterfalls, beaches, and hiking trails. The campground has 38 wooded sites, including five near the lakeshore, plus a boat launch.

Bluegill Bay County Park

A 68-acre scenic county park on Lake Wausau with a double boat launch, hiking trails, fishing pier, picnic shelters, volleyball courts, playground, and horseshoe pits. Popular with boaters and ice fishermen year-round.

Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail - Boulder Junction

Over 52 miles of paved bike trails winding through the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest, connecting Boulder Junction, Sayner, St. Germain, Manitowish Waters, and Mercer with scenic rest areas and swimming spots along the way. No trail pass required.

Hodag Park

Large park on the shores of Boom Lake in Rhinelander featuring a public beach, boat landing, three baseball diamonds, an amphitheater, tennis court, playground, and pavilions. Home to the Hodag Water Ski Shows and annual Fourth of July fireworks.

Interstate Falls Park

An 18-foot waterfall on the Montreal River along the Wisconsin-Michigan border, accessible via a short 0.3-mile trail with boardwalks, stairs, and two viewing platforms. Popular for brook trout fishing in spring and snowshoeing in winter.

Isle of Ferns Park
