About The Lineup

One place per community for what's actually happening.

The Lineup is a network of independent local lifestyle sites. Each site covers one community — its events, restaurants, live music, venues, and the practical local information people actually want.

Why The Lineup exists

Most local information lives in too many places at once. A weekend lineup of music, markets, and family events might be spread across a dozen venue websites, three ticketing platforms, half-a-dozen Facebook event pages, the chamber site, and a couple of newspapers — none of which talk to each other.

That fragmentation isn't anyone's fault. Venues run their own calendars. Promoters use the platforms that work for them. Local papers cover what they can. But for the person who just wants to know "what's happening this weekend," the answer requires opening ten tabs.

The Lineup does the opening of tabs. We pull it together, verify it, and put it in one place — per community.

What we cover

How we work

Three principles run the platform:

Behind the scenes, that's a daily scraping pipeline, a review queue for anything questionable, and human eyes on the things that automation can't decide.

Markets we publish today

More markets are coming. If yours isn't on the list and you think it should be, tell us.

Who's behind it

The Lineup is a project of Early Media Group, an independent local media company. It started as a single Florida newsletter — Villa+Cala Vibes, now Villa+Cala Lineup — and grew from there as it became clear the same problem (and the same solution) applied to a lot of places.

The platform is built on a shared technical foundation, but each market site is run with the attention of people who care about getting that specific community right.

What's next

New markets, deeper venue information, better tools for businesses to claim and manage their listings, and — eventually — a mobile app that makes saving and sharing local plans easy.

If any of that is interesting to you — as a reader, a venue, a partner, or a community — say hi.
