Father's Day and Juneteenth shape the weekend. Tapestry: The Carole King Songbook plays the Orange Blossom Opry Saturday, Mount Dora throws a Juneteenth Festival in the park, and the Friday Foodie Fest opens the weekend on Lake Lillian. It's deep-summer Florida -- mid-90s all three days with afternoon storms most likely later in the day, so aim the outdoor plans at morning or evening and you'll be fine.

Friday

Friday Foodie Fest -- Lake Lillian, Belleview, 5 PM ET

Food trucks, vendors, and live music on the water at Lake Lillian in Belleview. An easy, low-key way to open the weekend with dinner outdoors before the heat breaks.

Blues in the Box: Frank Bang -- Reilly Arts Center, 7:30 PM ET

Chicago bluesman Frank Bang plays the intimate Box room at the Reilly in Ocala. The kind of up-close show this series does best.

Tavares Lakefront Cars, Food Trucks & Market -- Wooton Park, 6:30 PM ET

Classic cars, food trucks, and a market on the Tavares lakefront. Stroll the rows, eat, and watch the seaplanes come in over Lake Dora.

The Villages squares -- nightly, 6 PM ET, free

Free live music on every square: Rocky and The Rollers at Spanish Springs, Blue Stone Circle at Lake Sumter Landing, Eighteen87 at Brownwood, and Zee-R Band at Sawgrass Grove. Pick a square and dance.

Saturday

Tapestry: The Carole King Songbook -- Orange Blossom Opry, 7 PM ET

Suzanne O. Davis leads a full-band tribute to Carole King's Tapestry and the songbook around it at the Opry in Weirsdale. This one's been selling fast -- grab a seat before you count on it.

Juneteenth Festival -- Cauley Lott Park, Mount Dora, Saturday, free

Mount Dora's Juneteenth celebration fills Cauley Lott Park -- music, food, vendors, and community, free and open all day. Saturday's cultural anchor.

Madagascar -- Reilly Arts Center, 11 AM ET

A kid-sized stage production of Madagascar at the Reilly -- the morning matinee is the family-friendliest slot. A solid call if you've got little ones and a hot afternoon to dodge.

Dueling Pianos -- Reilly Arts Center, 6 PM ET

Two pianos, two players, and a request-driven night of shout-it-out singalongs at the Reilly. Loud, funny, and better with a group -- there's a later uncensored set too if the early show isn't your speed.

Sunday

Family Traditions: Hank Sr. & Hank Jr. -- Orange Blossom Opry, 2:30 PM ET

A tribute show honoring the music of Hank Williams Sr. and Hank Williams Jr. -- a father-and-son songbook, fittingly, for Father's Day afternoon. Take Dad if he knows the words.
